As a first step I have pledged to teach 40 new meditators every month here in South Africa, and the funds that I receive will be channeled as “seed capital” to create and maintain the necessary infrastructure to bring this knowledge to Zimbabwe through the Maharishi® Development Foundation . Our goals are to raise US$5,000 for the Zimbabwe registration process, and US$150,000 to teach 1,000 Zimbabweans in our first phase of the project between December 2016 and June 2017. These proceeds will support the important establishment of a Transcendental Meditation® Centre (TM® Centre) and our national office in the capital city, Harare.
Our ultimate goal is to maintain more than 1%, (more than 157, 800 people) of the population practicing the Transcendental Meditation® technique. The next phase is to have a permanent group of 397 individuals (the square root one percent of Zimbabwe’s population) practicing the advanced techniques of Transcendental Meditation—this to maintain a permanent solution to the problems born of stress and thereby improve the quality of life in Zimbabwe. These numbers are not in any way arbitrary because these very tangible and measurable improvements have been verified by numerous published research studies looking at the precise difference in cities and nations when these critical percentages of people practicing these techniques are reached (Michael C. Dillbeck, Kenneth L. Cavanaugh, SAGE Open, DOI: 10.1177/2158244016637891 Published 14 April 2016).
Donate to our peace project
Because of the current unfavourable economic situations in Zimbabwe, we have set up a fund in South Africa. As a first step, I have pledged every dollar in my savings and 30% of earnings that I receive from teaching TM in South Africa into supporting the revival of TM in Zimbabwe.
We have no idea if you would like to join us in helping us, but we have seed funded it. Whether a dollar or 10 or 100 or whatever you like we will appreciate anything you can for the sake of creating lasting peace to our lovely Zimbabwe. Our goal is to raise US$2,000 for the Zimbabwe registration process, and US$150,000 for teaching 1,000 Zimbabweans in our first phase of the project between June 2017 and June 2018. These proceeds will support the important establishment of a Transcendental Meditation® Centre (TM® Centre) and our national office in the second capital city, Bulawayo. Thanks to the well-wishers, we now have a centre in Bulawayo.
